For Literacy Groups we have been reading a book called "The Name at the End of the Ladder"
Retell:
September (the main character ) has gone to the name bank and had her first appointment with Counseller Garlic. A lolly pop that she got from a lady called Sweet Pea says that she needs to go to room 449 on basement 4. She starts playing a game called ames and ladders to choose her name but get's worried when she gets sucked into the board game.
Relate:
- I didn't know what pneumatic meant but I remembered that they used it in a game I've played
- The book of names in this book is like a baby names book
Reflect:
- What gave you the idea to write this book?
- Did you base September on anyone?
Review:
I like this book so far and rate it 7 out of 10.
Thank you for viewing this and our blog.
Good job Pat
