My group and I are reading a really good book called The Garden of Empress Cassia.
Retell: There is a Chinese girl named Mimi and she is different to everyone else in her grade because she is half Chinese and half Australian but she has a teacher and the teacher is half Irish and half Australian so the teacher said, "i think where good being different"
Reflect: How long did this book take to make? When did you think of making this book? Why did you choose Irish for the teacher? When did you make the book?
Review: I think you could make the words more clear because when the mum talks you cant really understand what she is saying. In my opinion I like how its kind of about it doesn't matter what country your from
Relate: Like Mimi's Chinese and Australian I can relate because Im Lebanese and Australian T-S
That is a good text to elf connection. I found it has an interesting twist as well.
