The main characters name is Mimi Lu. She comes from china and is now living in Australia in a
little hut that her dad is working in for his job. She goes to school in year five and gets bullied by a girl named Gemma and some of here friends but mainly Gemma. Mimi really enjoys doing art so she gets after school lessons with her art teacher, she gets magical pastels given to her by her art teacher because she is so good at art. (T. S). Her Dad is not keen on Mimi being good at art because he thinks its a waste of time for her studying but she always gets good marks in her report. Mimi`s uncle, Ting died from eating to much greasy food, when Mimi doesn`t even remember what her uncle looks like sadly. But she does get a gift from here uncle... a puppy!
WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE BOOK:
Me and the green group for 5ST are reading THE GARDEN OF EMPRESS CASSIA the greatest book of all time! In my opinion. The garden of Empress Cassia is a great book because it puts a good picture into you mind and it has a lot of emotion in it. I know my group really enjoys the book we are reading because when we have group discussions we all have really good chats about the book and what we think will happen later on in the book. I hope you will read this truly amazing book.
